The athletic season is in full swing with zone athletic events taking place all over the West Coast this past weekend.
High school learners gather at the Vredenburg Sports Grounds for their field and track items. Learners of Noordhoek, St Helena Bay, EJ Malgarte, Steenberg’s Cove and HP Williams Primary schools gathered at the Smith Sports Grounds. Velddrif High School was also part of this gathering.
On the Saldanha Zone Primary Athletics Day Juan Moses and Marly Geduld, both from Langebaan Primary, were just two of the record breakers on the day. Weston High’s Washeema Blaauw (sprinter) and long-distance runner Byron Julies took the top girl and boy titles in their age groups,
