Situated right on the pristine white beaches of the bay, the lodge started its life as the historic home of the Wicht family which was gradually renovated to include a selection of on-suite rooms and self-catering beach cottages, a pool, tennis courts, the Blue Bay Café and a function venue. Also on hand is the lodge’s spa which was recently converted into a Turkish hammam where one can soothe away stress of everyday life.
The Cape Dutch gables of the original buildings rise from the beautifully manicured grounds that run down to the azure waters Saldanha is known for, while many species of water birds can be spotted from the deck.
