As visitors make their way to the West Coast for the Easter weekend, the Saldanha Bay Safety Initiative (SBSI) activated an integrated Easter roadblock initiative on Thursday 17 April.
Various stakeholders including traffic, Law Enforcement, security, ambulance services and more showed high visibility on the R45 Hopefield road and the R27 along the Engen West Coast 1 Stop, ensuring that all residents and visitors know that they will be safe during the Easter season.

Motorists can be rest assured that all safety and traffic services will be on the roads, making their presence known.
Joey Pieters, the Community Safety Coordinator, said the integrated efforts amongst all the SBSI role players stood out the most during the operation. “This marks the key for our integrated efforts to ensure community safety within our towns,” said Pieters.
