The West Coast Youth Orchestra (WCYO) performed at the third annual Classical Koelkamers Festival on Friday 16 June. In celebration of Youth Day the young ones showcased their musical talents.
The concert was opened by the very experienced jazz band under the leadership of band leader Damon de Foglio. The newly formed marimba band also made their debut.
Guests had the opportunity to listen to the percussion, wind and string ensembles. The concert ended with the senior orchestra, which performed “Kaiser Waltz” and “Jerusalema”. Marna Smit, Carina Brown and Damon de Foglio did all the arrangements.
