Thanks to patio misting systems that need no longer be the case. All over the world, also in South Africa, restaurants and home-owners have discovered the amazing benefits of installing a misting system.
According to media reports misting systems use very little water and can cool an area off by up to 12°C. “They’re designed to make the smallest droplets of water possible, because the smaller the droplets, the easier the evaporation into dry air. Once the water is evaporated, the resulting cool air is then pulled into an overhead fan, where it’s distributed across a patio. The resulting temperature drop also allows the indoor air conditioning system to use less energy.” (The Desert Sun, 5 August 2015)
