It was lights, camera, action as models walked the runway at the Mama Mia Sea Love Fashion Extravaganza on Wednesday 18 September.
Hosted by local business Studio Sea Love, the show brought a diverse group of local talents together to showcase the breathtaking Studio Sea Love fashion and jewellery collections, with an additional purpose of spotlighting West Coast women-owned businesses and celebrating community-driven creativity.
Taking place at Die Koelkamers, the fashion show was sold out filling the entire venue. Adéle Grosse of Sea Love said while the region is famous for the annual Spring flower season her dream has always been to showcase the vibrant ocean garden beneath the waves. “The event was designed to uplift local talent and support women entrepreneurs, especially by featuring new collections,” she pointed out. “The show also revealed the stunning new jewellery collection created in collaboration with Annelie Schutte’s MOOII. The decor and event styling, curated by Karen Gaspar of KA Ren Interior Design-Decor-Lifestyle, added an elegant touch, transforming a world where chaos turned into calm beauty.”
Describing the atmosphere as electric, Grosse was happy with how the event turned out. With 11 local models from the West Coast on the runway, each model strutted their stuff and showed what they were made of. Grosse said the event exceeded expectations.
“It was more than just a fashion show – it was an immersive experience where fashion met fun, creativity sparked joy and the community came together to celebrate. With such an incredible response, Studio Sea Love is excited to plan future events that push the boundaries of fashion and entertainment on the West Coast. This is only the beginning.”
