As part of breast-cancer awareness, Heavenly Haven Retreat (HHR) hosted its first annual tree wrapping event in Langebaan on Tuesday 1 October.

Ruth McPherson from HHR said the day was filled with a remarkable communal spirit, as 31 trees were wrapped in vibrant pink and purple, symbolising hope, resilience and remembrance for those affected by cancer.

The pink symbolises breast cancer awareness, while purple stands as a beacon of hope and recovery.

“Together, these colours remind us that even in our toughest moments, we are never alone. It was heart-warming to see people from all walks of life come together to support this cause. We were overwhelmed by the turnout; the atmosphere was electric with compassion, unity and strength.”
