Sunday 16 June was Youth Day and in celebration a few young ladies decided to help youths in their local community.
Zoe Barends, Meleighke Lopez and Shanelle de Villers hosted a gathering in Steenberg’s Cove. Shanelle is the founder of Menstruation is not a choice #HelpaGirlinNeed, an organisation that aims to empower girls and collects sanitary products for those in need.
The three girls entertained children of the community with games and fun. Donations of toiletries and sanitary products were also handed out.
