Vredenburg High School’s rural debate team Vinneke Booysen, Nompie Sandla and Sinalo Ndeleni were selected for the Western Cape Rural Debating Team which attended the National Road Safety Debate in Gauteng during the September holidays. They received 3rd place in the competition. Each of them received a laptop, a trophy and a medal. The team has now been invited to attend the Kuching Debate Camp in Kuching, Malaysia, from 12-14 December. Qaqamba Lufele who was a member of the 2018 WC Rural Team has also been invited. The invitation results from their successful training and participation in Road Safety Debates. They were invited by Africa Future Leaders Hub. Learners from Cape Town, Lesotho, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Malmesbury were also invited to attend this camp. We are proud of these girls.
