The Swartland and West Coast SPCA is thrilled to share that the Saldanha Bay Municipality (SBM) has formally extended its contract to manage both the small and large-animal pound in Vredenburg for another year.

This decision reflects their confidence in the Swartland and West Coast SPCA’s dedication to professional, compassionate animal care and community safety.

Over the past seven years, Swartland and West Coast SPCA rehabilitated and rehomed hundreds of dogs and cats, provided temporary shelter and veterinary care for livestock brought in by law enforcement, and worked closely with law enforcement and their inspectors who enforce municipal bylaws and uphold the Animal Protection Act.

The SPCA would like to thank them for their ongoing trust and prioritising animal welfare. A thank you also goes to all the inspectors, pound staff, all volunteers, and supporters for their generosity, which makes the work possible.
