Two Paternoster bus stops are attracting huge attention. Organised by Paternoster Operative, a community volunteer organisation committed to the overall improvement of the village, the bus stops have been transformed from graffiti-covered eyesores into vibrant outdoor art pieces – created by talented local artists. The most recent makeover was done at the bus stop in Kliprug.
Initiated by Cindy Saville, Paternoster Operative is renowned for its proactive litter clearing campaign across the village. “Everything we do is a team effort – none of this could happen without our volunteers, sponsors and donors. All credit goes to them for showing such community spirit and social investment in our special little town.”
The work necessary to transform the bus stops was extensive, and locals stepped up to the challenge. “Fixing the children’s park is next, and the more money raised, the more we can do.”
