The Accommodation Mobility award in the national Lilizela tourism awards again went to Soli Deo Gloria holiday home in Paternoster. It falls in the Universal Accessibility category.
Soli Deo Gloria is one of sixteen leading tourism establishments in the Western Cape that scooped up top honours at the award ceremony held in Sandton on Sunday 16 October.
Their growing success is due, according to owner Naomi le Roux, to diligent research, 100% compliance to the set universal access specifications and getting a disabled person in to personally help with details.
Alan Winde, Provincial Minister of Economic Opportunities and Tourism, congratulated the winners.
“Once again our province has performed well at the national awards. I’d like to commend the winners for their efforts in cementing the Western Cape as one of the world’s most popular visitor destinations. These entrepreneurs are great ambassadors.”
