Volkswagen’s second generation Tiguan can take everything your lifestyle demands. It has sharp, masculine contours and a distinctive profile and on the inside – innovative connectivity features and modern design accents.
Longer, wider and lower, the new Tiguan’s striking SUV design is sportier and more powerful looking with sharper lines and flared wheel arches. Body coloured bumpers, door handles and exterior mirrors fuse effortlessly and all models have a black grain-effect protective trim on the lower front and rear bumpers, side sills and wheel arches. It has Volkswagen’s striking horizontal chrome bars that proudly lead to the iconic Volkswagen badge. Chrome finishes can be added.
The new Tiguan boasts a longer and wider boot space. Its leather covered steering wheel is ergonomic, while seat configurations allow the driver to concentrate on driving, even on long-haul trips. Interior touches with more storage space, drawers under seats, electrically foldable side mirrors, cruise control, comfort seats, auto headlights and rain sensors means the new Tiguan ticks every box.
Elsewhere in the cabin, clever design and functionality go hand in hand. Sliding rear seats offer versatility for passengers and payload luggage. For ultimate carrying capacity, both rear seats can be folded flat to reveal space just right for carrying bulky cargo. The new Tiguan even features load-through provision for the rear central armrest, making it a breeze to accommodate longer items such as fishing rods or hockey sticks.
With its optional 4MOTION® Active Control, the Tiguan can be adjusted to different road conditions and terrain.
The Tiguan comes with ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) with counter steering support, ABS (Anti-lock Brake System), Anti-Spin Regulator, Electronic Differential Lock, Transverse Differential Lock, engine drag torque control and trailer stabilisation, multi-collision brake system, auto-hold function by means of electronic parking brake, including hill-hold assist, fatigue detection, power steering, curtain airbags, front and rear including side airbags, front airbags for driver and passenger and attachment points for two rear child seats.
Inside it offers cruise control with speed limiter, height and length adjustable centre armrest in the front, with storage box, two air vents, two cup holders and 12 volt socket on the rear, white instrument lighting, dimmable and a heat insulating windshield.
On the outside it offers front fog lights and cornering lamp, roof rails. side mirror housings and door handles in body colour, radiator grille frame and slats in chrome and LED tail-lights.
Buyers can add adaptive cruise control with front assist, active info display, head up display, 8” touch-screen high end SatNav “Discover Pro” with DVD drive, Bluetooth and USB interface, App-Connect, seat upholstery in “Vienna” leather, the smoker package, socket in luggage compartment, tilt and sliding panoramic sunroof, mechanically swivelling electrical tow bar, electric tail-gate, keyless entry and park assist with rear view camera.
