The Love Quilt Project (TLQP) along with members of the Inner Wheel Club in Saldanha delivered 194 quilts to various organisations in the West Coast.
This took place on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 March.
With Jenni Knittig, a representative of TLQP, quilts were given to Huis van Heerde, For the Children Longacres, ACVV St Helena Bay, Child and Family Welfare Vredenburg and Badisa West Coast.
The Love Quilt Project is a non-profit organisation established in 2014 to provide educational and emotional support to at-risk children living in foster care in South Africa and the United States.
Art squares containing messages of compassion, kindness and love for children facing the challenges of foster care are created by schoolchildren.
These messages of love are stitched into beautiful handmade quilts by volunteer quilters. The quilts are given to foster children along with a monetary donation to be used for educational services. For more information on the love quilt project www.lovequiltproject.org.
