Today is the last chance for brides who married in September to enter the annual Weslander en Weskus Mall Bride of the competition.

The fourth Bride of the Year was crowned this month. Yvette Gillespie from Vredenburg walked away with romantic getaways, free accommodation at the five star Commadore Hotel in the V&A Waterfront, cash prizes and much more.

Brides who were wed in September have until Thursday 27 October to enter the 2016-’17 competition and make their way to the final crowning which will be held next year.

Just like this year’s event, the fifth bridal gala will be a grand affair at the West Coast Mall. Here all 12 months’ winners will take to the catwalk and display their dresses and their sparkling personalities to the panel of judges.

Our panel of independent judges will choose our bridal winner and her two princesses. Then there is also the ever popular Viewers Choice competition where Weslander readers will get the chance to vote for their favourite bride.

The competition is open to all brides older than 18 years, who married between September 2016 and August 2017. Participants enter the competition the month after they were wed.

The bride has to live in Weslander distribution area or had to live there until the date of her wedding.

Entries cost R250. Entry forms should be accompanied by a head and shoulders as well as a full length photograph.

Call Yaël Malgas or Madelie Tolken for more information and entry forms at 022 713 1251.
