An opportunity of a lifetime has crossed the path of Kamva Ncaza.

The 17-year-old from George Kerridge in Vredenburg has received the opportunity to play soccer in Spain.

He was selected by BT Football Recruitment Agency to take part in the trials in Spain. BT Football Recruitment Agency’s mission is to identify talented football players across Africa as well as to provide players with opportunities at professional football clubs both in Africa and abroad.

Kamva says soccer is his life and means everything to him, and this opportunity would mean even more to him. “I never thought a ball could bring such happiness and change my life,” he said.

On receiving the news that he was selected Kamva said he cried tears of joy. “I told my mom first, because she always believed in me when no-one else did, not even me.”

Going to Spain would be a dream come true for this young man, for he says it would grant him the opportunity to engage with experienced players in the world.

“I feel blessed to be one of the chosen players.”

To make this dream a reality Kamva needs the assistance of the West Coast community. He needs a total of R22 500 to cover all his expenses of which R20 000 has to be paid by Saturday 1 October.

Should you wish to help make his dream come true and donate contact Kamva’s mother, Fikiswa Ncaza, on 076 442 9888.
