The second 7-a-side soccer tournament was recently hosted at Club Mykonos Langebaan with fast feet and fan fair.
Thirteen teams of soccer enthusiasts up to the age of 13 years, took part in the tournament on Saturday 2 September, organised by Topolino Private School.
Among the teams was an all-girl team, and a team of home-ed school students.
While most teams were from Langebaan, schools from as far as Riebeek Kasteel were represented.
The organisers thanked all the sponsors who helped to make the day “a resounding success”, adding that interest in soccer has grown phenomenally because of the tournament.
It has also given rise to the Langebaan Football Club (LFC).
