Prolonged sitting, according to new research, is damaging your health.

People wo work in offices are being turned into 9 to 5 couch potatoes, whilst a recent study showed sitting can increase your risk for cancer by more than 60%.

What to do? Deskercise!

Short bouts of aerobics, strength exercises, and stretching in between conference calls and emails can help improve fitness levels and heart health. TIME asked Cedric Bryant, chief science officer at the American Council on Exercise, and John Porcari, executive director of La Crosse Exercise and Health Program at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, to show us their favourite workouts for the office environment.
