St Helena Bay’s smallest school recently held its first fun walk, to great joy of the local community.
EJ Malgarte Primary held the walk on Saturday 5 October.
Lucky Star (of the Oceana Group) donated T-shirts to all the school learners, teachers and school governing body members for their participation in the event.
According to the organiser, educator Leon Collison, the reason for the event is to create a true sense of community between the learners, parents and community members.
Part of the community is the Oceana Foundation, a long-time stakeholder in the local school community.
“Oceana remains our main sponsor, and we are so thankful for the generous support they have given our school over the years,” says Felicia Lottering, Principal at EJ Malgarte Primary.
“We also wish to express our gratitude to Oceana and Lucky Star for the support received for this initiative.
