The Air Force Base Langebaanweg Sergeant’s Forum held its annual Christmas Tree event for the kids of Langebaanweg.
This year’s Christmas Tree saw a partnership between the forum and various local businesses.
“Giving in abundance and taking care of the community has always been part of the make up of the West Coast community, especially this time of the year. The members in blue supported the worthy cause because our kids are the leaders of tomorrow, let us nurture them,” says corporate communication officer Sergeant Eleas Martin Koopman.
The kids were entertained by the team from Happy Events in Cape Town. All the sponsors in attendance felt honoured to be a part of this initiative and the parents were happy to see the joy it brought to their children.
Chaplain Xolani Maholwana of Air Force Base Langebaanweg said children should be cared for and cherished.
The Officer Commanding Air Force Base Langebaanweg Brigadier General MM Matanda expressed a special thanks to all the sponsors, participants and parents, for taking the time to spoil their children and thanked the children as the special guests on the day.
