The popular CWL Baard Auto sport day takes place this Saturday 29 February, in Hopefield.
This event started as a fundraiser for a rugby tour to Argentina in 2007 and has since become a fixture on the sports calendar for the Western Cape. Traditionally it is the first winter sports day of the season and an ideal opportunity for rugby and netball coaches to gauge their depth and talent for the season.
This year 25 schools will visit the green pastures of Hopefield, including the likes of Charlie Hofmeyr, Fairmont, Swartland, Worcester Gim, Western Province Elsen XV, Augsburg, Lutzville, Wesbank, Porterville and many more.
Food and beverages will be sold, and those who do not want to miss Super Rugby, the sports club offers DSTV facilities. You will also experience Hopefield hospitality at its best.
Games starts 08:00 and the last whistle is at approximately 17:30.
