Members of the Curro Langebaan Swimming Club recently took part successfully in the four-day AquaBear Invitational Swimming Gala in Port Elizabeth in September.
Liam Rautenbach (10) and Francesca Flack (8) both achieved third place in the 50 m Butterfly category in their respective age groups.
The Curro girls u-11 and u-12 Medley Relay team of Amy Schmidt (11), Bella Mansfield (12), Robyn Stein (12) and Rebecca Flack (11) also achieved third place.
Francesca also finished sixth overall in her age group, and was awarded a “Top 10 Performer Ribbon”.
The squad included coach Paolo Gabriels, Lourens Botha (12), Diederick De Clercq (15), Pirow Engelbrecht (19), Liza-Mari Geldenhuys (14), Sam Juries (10), Adriaan Louw (13), Luke Mansfield (9), Nina Oosthuizen (12), Kyle Pearson (16), Liam Pereira (13), Leila Pollicutte (13), Makayla Reid (12), Klaudia Schmidt (14), Angelo Smith (14) and Herman Til (11).
