The cruise liner underwent a major upgrade in 2018 and a second refurbishment in 2021, enhancing its design and capabilities. It offers its 296 guests an Italian Heritage theme and is known for its intimate ambiance and all-suite accommodations. The Silver Wind has been upgraded to an ice-class ship, making it suitable for expedition cruising in polar regions such as Antarctica and the Arctic.

The cruise liner underwent a significant upgrade in 2018 and a second refurbishment in 2021, enhancing its design and capabilities. It features multiple dining venues and onboard amenities, including a casino, swimming pool, library, health spa, bars, and lounges.

It would have left for Cape Town on Thursday, 3 April.
