Lupho Sangoni, a Grade 12 learner at Diazville High School, recently took part in the Western Cape Boxing Championship in Wynberg, Cape Town.

Lupho did the West Coast proud and won a gold medal in the middle weight division. He was also chosen to be part of the Western Cape Boxing team. Lupho was very happy that he received this medal and feels honoured that he could have represented the West Coast.

This young man started boxing at the age of 11 and has been going strong ever since. He shares a great love and passion for boxing and is a SANDF gold medalist, a three time Western Cape gold medal champion among others. Lupho shows no signs of slacking and says with more training, interacting with professional boxers and trainers he will achieve more goals.

The school is very proud of him and his achievement.
