It was a day of celebration as women gathered at this year’s “Blossom to Bloom” women’s well-being event, hosted by The Next Chapter. The event took place on Saturday 7 September at Blue Bay Lodge in Saldanha.
Shireen Motara, CEO of The Next Chapter, said the day was an incredible success, exceeding all their expectations, and had 24 ladies in attendance. The purpose of the event was to create a space where women could come together to celebrate resilience, well-being, and community. “We wanted to offer a day focused on holistic wellness, self-care, and empowerment, where attendees could not only gain valuable insights from expert speakers but also engage with local businesses that support mental, physical and emotional health with the atmosphere filled with positivity, support, and a shared commitment to well-being.
“The ladies thoroughly enjoyed the diverse range of activities and offerings – from the insightful keynote speech and wellness talks to the hands-on interactions with our stallholders.”
Motara said the highlight for many was the sense of community and empowerment that came from connecting with like-minded women, sharing experiences, and supporting each other’s journey to health and happiness. “There was a great deal of excitement around the raffle, with participants eager to support Hands Reaching Out, knowing their contributions would make a tangible difference.”
She adds that overall, the event was a beautiful blend of education, inspiration and fun and those in attendance left feeling motivated, more self-aware and connected. “Many expressed how impactful it was to focus on their own well-being in such a supportive environment.”
The Next Chapter would love to make this an annual event.
