Amazing Race returns to Velddrif on Saturday 29 November.

The excitement is building as the Amazing Race returns to Velddrif on Saturday 29 November, and this year it’s set to be bigger and better.

Hosted by Harcourts West Coast and Kim Pistor Attorneys, the event promises a day packed with teamwork, laughter and community spirit all in support of Noordhoek Primary School.

Following the huge success of the first Amazing Race, held in May, where enthusiastic teams raced through the West Coast completing creative challenges, the organisers were inspired by the overwhelming support from both participants and sponsors. The funds raised earlier this year helped Noordhoek Primary begin much-needed improvements to their facilities, including updates to the school’s kitchen area and equipment.

Now, the community is invited once again to join in the fun and help take the school’s progress to the next level.

Teams of up to five people will meet at 09:30 at the Municipal Parking Lot in Velddrif, with the race starting promptly at 10:00. Each team needs one car to travel between the different checkpoints, where they will take on a range of challenges that test teamwork, creativity, and local knowledge.

The first five teams to cross the finish line will walk away with exciting prizes, while every participant will leave with great memories and the satisfaction of helping a worthy cause.

Pre-entries are essential and cash-only, with entrance fee set at R150 per adult, R80 for children aged 9-15 and free for children under 9. Entries close 25 November, and tickets can be purchased at Harcourts Laaiplek Office (Velddrif) or Kim Pistor Attorneys (Langebaan).

All proceeds will once again go directly to Noordhoek Primary School to fund upgrades such as new kitchen appliances, tables and chairs, ensuring a more comfortable environment for learners.

“The first Amazing Race showed just how powerful our community can be when we come together,” said organiser Linda Daddy of Harcourts West Coast.

“We can’t wait to do it again with more fun, more laughter and even more support for our local school.”

Community members who wish to get involved but can’t participate are encouraged to sponsor prizes, vouchers, or donations, helping make the day a success.

Round up friends, fuel up and get ready to race for a reason, because when the community levels up together everyone wins.
